SCERT Arunachal Admission 2024
State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Government of Arunachal Pradesh has issued an official admission notification for the 2 (two) years Pre-Service Teacher Education (PSTE) course leading to Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) shall be started in all the 11 (Eleven) District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) of Arunachal Pradesh for the current sessions 2024-26. Reservation of Seats: 80% seats are reserved for APST candidates of the feeder district(s), 20 seats each for male and female candidates. In case of non-availability of male candidates, the seats shall be filled up from the Female candidates in order of merit and vice-versa. And 20% seats are General/Open seats meant for both APST and Non-APST candidates from non-feeder and feeder districts based on merit.
Eligibility
a. Qualification: As per NCTE norms, Class XII pass with 45% marks for APST and 50% for Non-APST candidates in aggregate from any recognized Board/Council.
b. Age Limit: 17 to 25 years as on 01/07/2024. However, upper age is relaxable upto 5 years for APST candidates.
c. Domicile Proof: APST candidates seeking admission under 80% seat reservation should submit APST Certificate and Permanent Resident Certificates (PRC) in support of their feeder district. Temporary Resident Certificate (TRC) for APST candidates shall not be accepted.
Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidates shall be made strictly on merit basis by a board constituted at each DIET. The merit shall be determined by the percentage of marks secured in Class XII examination. If total marks of two candidates secured in Class XII examination are found equal, higher marks in Class X shall determine the merit. If the marks secured in Class X are also equal then the candidate born first shall be selected.
Admission Process
Interested candidates have to contact the respective DIETs for prospectus & admission form w.e.f 19/06/2024 to 28/06/2024 (3.30 PM). The cost of the prospectus & admission form is Rs. 200/- only.
Admission of Selected Candidates
The selected candidates shall be admitted to the respective DIETs w.e.f 8th July - 12th July, 2024. Delay in reporting for admission due to any reason shall not be considered. In that case, the seat shall be forfeited and allotted to the waiting list candidates. The Academic classes shall start from 15th July 2024.
Admission of wait-list Candidates
Seats remaining vacant shall be filled from the panel of waiting list candidates based on merit w.e.f. 15th-17th July, 2024. There shall be only 02 panel of waiting lists one for APST & another for General candidates without segregating as male & female candidates.
Hostel facility
Both male and female candidates admitted to the course shall get hostel facility in the respective DIETs subject to availability of seats. Hostel facility at DIET Naharlagun shall be provided subject to renovation.

Interested candidates may apply by contacting the above DIETs. The last date of submission of the dully filled admission form is 28/06/2024 till 3.30 PM.
