Honorarium & Nature of Deployment

Monthly Honorarium: Paid under the Highly Skilled Category wage rates prescribed by the Government of Meghalaya, along with applicable State Government Risk Allowance.

Deployment Period: Initially for 1 year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Nature of Engagement: Purely temporary and voluntary. The engagement does not confer any right to regularization or permanent appointment.
Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Candidate must be an Indian citizen domiciled in Meghalaya.

Home Guards Training: Must be a trained Home Guards Volunteer with a valid Home Guards Basic Training Certificate.

EPIC Card: Must possess a valid Meghalaya EPIC (Voter ID) Card.

Medical Fitness: Must possess a valid Medical Fitness Certificate issued by an authorized Government Medical Practitioner/Institution.
Age Limit

Maximum Age: 50 years as on 01.09.2026.

Reservation: State Reservation Policy/Roaster is not applicable as the deployment is purely voluntary.
Selection Process
- Scrutiny and verification of application forms and required certificates.
- Personal Interview at Shillong or Tura.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the official website and departmental notice boards.
Documents Required
- Duly filled Standard Application Form.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Birth Certificate/Age Proof.
- Meghalaya EPIC (Voter ID) Card.
- Home Guards Basic Training Certificate.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from an authorized Government Medical Practitioner.
How to Apply Offline
- Obtain the prescribed Standard Application Form.
- Fill in all required details correctly and attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
- Attach recent passport-size photographs and the required certificates.
- Submit the completed application form by hand or post to the respective District Home Guards Office/Officer Commanding District Training Centre/Civil Defence Office.
- Ensure that the application reaches the concerned office on or before 28.09.2026.
