The Government of Assam, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department, has invited online applications for the recruitment of 256 Chief Minister’s Fellows under the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA). Eligible candidates with an MBA or Master's Degree can apply online from 1 November 2026 to 14 November 2026.

Note: The number of Fellows may change according to the requirements of CMAAA Society.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications from a reputed university or institution:
- MBA or MBA-equivalent qualification.
- Master's Degree in Social Sciences.
- Master's Degree in Public Policy.
- Master's Degree in Development Studies.
Minimum Marks: 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying postgraduate degree or MBA-equivalent qualification.
The 60% requirement does not apply separately to Class 10, Class 12 or graduation. CGPA conversion will follow the awarding institution's prescribed formula.
Preference: Candidates from premier institutions such as IIMs, IITs, IRMA, TISS and NIRD will be preferred. Professionals with relevant experience in multinational companies or international organisations may also apply, subject to eligibility.
Language & Computer Skills
- Proficiency in local languages of Assam, English and Hindi.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
Remuneration

Fellowship Duration & Placement
- Fellowship duration: 24 months.
- Placement across Assam.
- Work with CMAAA Society and District Industries and Commerce Centres.
- Coordinate with District Commissioners and other government departments.
- Performance evaluation every six months based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Mentor CMAAA beneficiaries in developing business ideas.
- Support enterprise development and entrepreneurship.
- Coordinate with banks, universities, NABARD, NEDFi and other stakeholders.
- Assist beneficiaries in developing viable enterprises.
- Support programme implementation across Assam.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be called for:
- Group Discussion.
- Personal Interview.
Selected candidates will undergo an orientation programme, exposure visits and on-the-job field training before starting their assignments.

Fellowship Certificate
