The 1,871 vacancies are distributed among Delhi Police and different CAPFs. The recruitment includes both male and female Sub-Inspector vacancies, while CISF SI (Fire) is for male candidates.

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants should meet the educational qualification and other conditions prescribed for the respective Sub-Inspector post.

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Delhi Police SI (Male): A valid LMV Driving Licence for motorcycle and car is required on the date of the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test.
  • CAPF SI: Graduation in any discipline is required.
  • CISF SI (Fire): B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR 10th pass with a 3-year Diploma in the specified engineering disciplines.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026.

  • Delhi Police/CAPF SI: 20 to 25 Years.
  • CISF SI (Fire): 18 to 30 Years.
  • SC/ST: 5 years upper age relaxation.
  • OBC: 3 years upper age relaxation.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per SSC rules.

Physical Standards & PET

Candidates shortlisted for the physical stage must qualify the prescribed Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). The requirements vary according to gender and category.

SSC CPO Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The recruitment process includes computer-based examinations followed by physical tests and medical examination.

  • Paper-I: Computer Based Examination covering Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and English.
  • PST/PET: Physical Standard and Physical Endurance Tests for shortlisted candidates.
  • Paper-II: Computer Based Examination focused on English Language and Comprehension.
  • Medical Examination: Candidates qualifying the written and physical stages undergo Detailed Medical Examination.
