Qualification & Experience

  • Project Executive-Non Farm Livelihoods Promotion: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Business Management, Agri-Business, Rural Marketing/Development Practice or Community Development. Relevant experience in livelihoods-related projects or enterprise promotion is required.
  • Block Functional Specialist-Financial Inclusion: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Science, Business Management-Finance or Commerce with relevant experience in rural development, poverty alleviation programmes, banking, NBFC or MFI.
  • District Functional Specialist-IB & CB: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma/Degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Agriculture or Science with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • District Functional Specialist-IT: Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or related field with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in MIS, data analysis, reporting and IT-related work.
  • District MIS Coordinator-Livelihoods Promotion: Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Technology, Computer Science, IT or Computer Applications with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Data Entry, MIS Management, Data Analysis and Reporting.
  • Young Professional-FNHW: Post Graduate Degree in Education, Public Health, Home Science, Nutrition & Dietetics, Social Work or Nursing with relevant experience, or Graduate Degree in the relevant field with the prescribed experience.
  • District Account Assistant: Degree in Commerce from a recognized University with minimum 1 year experience in Accounts and Financial Management. Working knowledge of Tally Prime and computer applications is required.

Age Limit

  • General Candidates: Within 30 Years.
  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation, up to 35 years.
  • PwBD Candidates: Age relaxation as per applicable Government of Meghalaya rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:


  1. Preliminary Examination – Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical abilities.
  2. Group Discussion/Skill Test
  3. Personal Interview
  • The preliminary examination will be conducted at Shillong.
  • Selected candidates may be required to undertake extensive rural travel.
  • Field visits and village stays may be required for around 15 days in a month.
  • Knowledge of local languages such as Khasi, Garo or Pnar may be preferred.
  • Employees working in private/public sector organizations must produce an NOC at the time of Personal Interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the examination or interview.
