Eligibility Criteria
1. Junior Engineer (Electrical)
- Qualification: 3 Years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
2. Junior Engineer (Electronics)
- Qualification: 3 Years Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
3. Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
- Qualification: 3 Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
4. Junior Engineer (Civil)
- Qualification: 3 Years Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
5. Programming Associate
- Qualification: 3 Years Diploma in Computer Sc./IT/BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Sc.), B.Sc. (IT).
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
6. Assistant (HR)
- Qualification: 3 Years Graduation in BBA/BBM.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
7. Assistant (Corporate Hospitality)
- Qualification: Graduate in Hotel Management or equivalent.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
8. Junior Maintainer (Electrical)
- Qualification: ITI (NCVT/SCVT) Certificate in Electrician trade or Equivalent.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
9. Junior Maintainer (Mechanical)
- Qualification: ITI (NCVT/SCVT) Certificate in Fitter trade or equivalent.
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years.
Application Fee of NCRTC Recruitment
- UR, OBC, EWS and Ex-Servicemen candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000/- exclusive of transaction processing charges + GST, as applicable.
- SC/ST/PwBD category candidates are NOT required to pay any fee.
- Recruitment fee including transaction processing charges plus GST once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore advised to verify their eligibility, the closing date for submission of online application before paying the application fee.
- If a candidate wants to apply for more than one post, he/ she will have to pay application fee for each post separately.
- Credit/Debit Card/Net banking shall be used for online transaction/payment. Applicant must read declaration and preview application form before submission, also they can take a printout of the application form.
- Applicant will be redirected to payment gateway post submission of application form which shall be available w.e.f. 24/03/2025. Only after successful transaction a payment acknowledgment (with unique application sequence number, transaction ID, applicant name, category, exam fee and post applied for) will be generated and should be downloaded for any future communication regarding application form.

Selection Process for NCRTC Recruitment
- The selection methodology will comprise a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by medical fitness test in prescribed medical standards as per Indian Railway Medical Manual.
- Syllabus of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be hosted on the NCRTC’s website separately.
- The candidates will have the option to appear for Computer Based Test (CBT) either in Hindi or English.
- There shall be 100 questions in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and total marks shall be 100. Each correct answer shall carry 1 mark and there shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Duration of Computer Based Test (CBT) shall be of 90 minutes.
- Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT) does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for further consideration or the final selection, as the same depends on number of positions, ratio applied and relative performance in the respective categories.
TEST CENTRES: Candidates have to give preference of city of their Test Centre while filling online application and no change under any circumstances will be considered subsequently. However, NCRTC reserves the right to assign any test centre, cancel or add any center. The test Center options are- Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
